How to create product profile to sell?

If you want to sell your products using Click2Sell Affiliate Marketing Network, at first you need to add products to the system (create product profile). This is done very easy. At first you should join Click2Sell by creating your account. Then inside your account you should go to Merchants page and add your product to Click2Sell Online Marketplace using step-by-step guide. The system will generate you special Buy-Now buttons or html links. You should place them on your website and start selling online. Change default currency in Click2Sell account

I´d like to change default currency in my account from euros to american dollars, how I can do it? Thanks

Your Click2Sell account’s currency is “hard-coded” into the system, so it is not possible to change default currency. If you want to have account of American dollar, you can simply create another account. You can keep both accounts of euro and dollar and sell products in different currencies, as people like to purchase products in their own familiar currency.

Ebook Refund policy and Warranties

After reading the page on your website “Terms and Conditions”, I have some questions regarding refund policy and warranties. If a merchant is selling an ebook:

1) Is it necessary to have a refund policy for an ebook, given that there is no physical product to ship, and therefore there can be none of the problems associated with shipping physical products, such as damage or non-arrival?

2) Is a buyer entitled to a refund on an ebook just because they do not like it, after they receive it? [Bearing in mind that it is rather meaningless to ask a buyer to ‘return’ an ebook when they can easily keep a copy of the ebook on their computer even if they did ‘return’ the ebook by sending it back to the merchant as an email attachment].

3) Is it necessary to have a warranty policy for an ebook? If so, what is being warranted? That it is readable or is the content being warranted? Is it realistic to make a warranty about the content of an ebook when the assessment of the content of any book (in other words –
whether of not is considered to be a “good book”) is very subjective?

Let me answer your questions one by one.

1) Yes, it is required to have a refund policy for each product regardless of its type.

2) Theoretically a buyer can’t just buy a product and then ask quickly for a refund. However, in reality in most cases it is enough for a buyer to say that he/she is unsatisfied with the content of purchasen product
and they will be refunded. Please understand that we do not issue refunds ourselves. We leave a total control of refunds to merchants. However, a buyer can contact PayPal (if a transaction was made via PayPal) and ask for a refund. In this case PayPal will open a dispute case and both of you (the seller and the buyer) will be listened. But the decision about refund will be up to PayPal. Such refund policy (that a buyer can be refunded if he/she is unsatisfied with a product) is for encouraging people to buy products in the Internet. Let me assure you that quite a small part of buyers ask for refunds (and usually with a good reason).

3) The warranties (in other words refund policy) are mainly for making clear that if a buyer feels unsatisfied about the purchased product, then he/she can ask for a refund. In many cases, merchants state that buyers can ask for a refund within 15-30 days after a purchase. Actually, a lot of merchants use very visible “Ironclad garuantee”. Ask for refund if you don’t like my product. You lose nothing!” phrase just for encouraging customers to buy the product. That’s some kind of marketing technique.

Order links customization

Hi, I have a question regarding Click2Sell order links customization. I would like to use a custom image as my order button (instead of the order buttons provided in the merchant area). How can I do this? I would also like to be able to use a text link as an order link, but I would like to be able to customize the text in the order link (the text order link provided in the merchant area says “order now” – the text cannot be customized). How can I do this? (The reason I would like to customize the order button as well as the text in the order link, is because my testing shows that these factors can make a big difference in sales.) Please let me know how I can do these. Thanks.

Great to hear such good questions! These are very good questions and I completely agree with you that such
factors influence conversions quite strongly. So, i’ll answer them one by one.

1. Changing buy now button’s image. Let’s take a look on “buy-now” button code. There is an example one (code lines are very long, so they can be breaking in the middle):

Please find such line http://www.click2sell.eu/images/paynow_v3_5.png which is bolded. As you see, that part is just a simple URL to image’s location in the Internet. So if your custom image is located in http://www.someserver.com/mycustomimage.jpg, you just need to replace that URL with your own picture’s URL (just be careful not to remove any other symbol accidentally).

The result of your modification would look like:

That’s all. After doing this you will have your own custom desing Buy Now button. Just keep in mind that any other change in the code (like altering spacing to make it look more “compact”) can give errors in reports.

2. Order links customization.
Unfortunately, it can’t be changed as it is needlessly “hard-coded”. It is in our to-do list to make it customizable. In the meantime, I suggest you to do such thing:

a) Just use your direct buy-link for simple a href links (you can find your direct link this way: “For Merchant” -> click on “Buy Now Links” link -> the first bolded link).

b) Then put somewhere the button’s code (you can use virtually invisible image of 1px size). This will provide you all the necessary tracking (plain a href link can’t track visitors, views, referral statistics and
so on).

Recurring payments and affiliate commissions

Can I take recurring paymenst (eg monthly)? If so is it possible to set up a trial ( free and paid for)? If possible to both the above – is it possible to pay affiliates different amounts on trial from general product? E.g Trial is $197 for 90 days (pay it all to affiliate) then $97 per month with $30 per montth to affiliate?

Let me answer your questions one by one.

1. Recurring payments.
Yes, you can setup a “subscription” product/service which is exactly what you need (recurring charges on your set schedule). Once you are setting up a “subscription” product, you need to write:

1) the initial price (it can’t be zero due to PayPal or Authorize.net limitations) and duration of the first period. E.g.: $5 for 30 days.

2) the size of recurring charges and duration of recurring billing. E.g.: $50 every 3 months.

2. Trial subscription.
As I already said before, currently it is not possible to make the initial price to be zero, so trial subscription is not available in this form you’d like to have. Such thing is in our “to-do” list, but right now you will need just to ask your customers to order the subscription after the trial period.

3. Affiliate commissions.
The size of affiliate commissions proportional to commission percentage. So if you setup affiliate commissions size to be 50%, then you will pay half of your income to your affiliate. In your case, you would need to pay $98.5 for the initial payment, and then $48.5 every month.

Uploading banners for affiliates

Hello, I wanted to get more information about uploading banners for affiliates. How can I submit banners for the affiliate marketers under my affiliate program?

That is a very good decision towards potential affiliates to provide promotional material. Uploading banners for affiliates can be done in this way:

Login into your account, then go to “For Merchant” section -> click on product’s name -> click on “Add
tools” link.

In the opened page you will see four sections:
Email Letters | Articles | Banners | Email Signatures.

Choose any of them and add your promotional material. Uploading banners for affiliates will be done when you select “Banners” buton and then upload your banner images into Click2Sell servers. After doing this all affiliates will see that your product/service has promotional material in “More Info” page at our Online Marketplace.

Who can use click2sell

Who can use click2sell? is it ok to use your service if i am from USA and if i want to sell to
USA customers? Aalso, can i still sell my services in other affiliate networks? please confirm. thanks

That’s perfectly fine regarding your first question who can use click2sell. There are no restrictions about sellers’ and buyers’ countries, so anyone can use Click2Sell. It’s just important that merchant or affiliate had PayPal and/or Moneybookers accounts. So as USA resident merchant you can sell your products to any customers across the world.

Regarding your other question about using other affiliate networks i can say that it depends on some circumstances. You can sell your product at many affiliate networks as you want as long you have a separate landing page with Click2Sell “buy-now” buttons for your product. In other words, visitors have to see only Click2Sell buy-now button in your product’s sales-page and no more other buttons. Such restriction is
required to ensure that our affiliates will be credited for every their referred buyer. Having 2 different affiliate netwoks’ “buy-now” buttons in one sales-page dramatically increase the risk of “leaked” sales. So, we do not allow this. However, if you provide a separate product’s page where would be Click2Sell “buy-now” button only, then you can sell your product in various networks.

Which affiliate link to promote: should i use html link or product link?

Which affiliate link to promote: should i use html link or product link? I prefer promoting the product link but I noticed that my click2sell coding is not in the product link but it is in the html link. If I promote the product link will I get credit for a sale even though the Click2sell coding is not visible.

Thank you for your question regarding the difference between promoting plain affiliate links and provided html code with your affiliate links. You can use both of them to promote products online. If you want, you can promote your plain affiliate product link which has this structure:

http://your-login.product-id.click2sell.eu .

Promote such link online: in forums, use pay per click campaigns to drive traffic, etc. You can also use the provided html code with your buy now links, but such links are meant to use on your websites. So if you do not intend to promote selected products on your website, simply – just use a plain affiliate link. One way or the other you can be sure that you will always be credited if you make sales.

How to promote products online from the Marketplace?

Im confused on how to promote products online. For the merchant i read the user guide but sorry i dont understand it so can you at least walk me through it

Thank you for your question and interest in Click2Sell.EU on how to promote products online. You need to login to your Click2Sell.EU account, then click on the Marketplace. You’ll be redirected to Click2Sell online marketplace and there you will find a lot of products to promote.

Please, browse through the marketplace and select the products to promote. You can use search function to find best products to promote online. Once you find an interesting product (and better – related to your website content), please, click on ‘Promote’ button. The campaign will be created for you. Then you will see a ‘Get Link’ link. Please, click on this link to receive your own unique affiliate urls.

Now, you already have your own affiliate url, so you can start driving traffic (online visitors) to these affiliate urls. If your referred customer purchases the product, you will receive your affiliate commission.

Why affiliate payment is pending on my Payments section?

Hi! I sent a payment to my affiliate a few days ago but its status is still pending. Please inform the affiliate to accept the payment as soon as possible. Please, explain, whay affiliate payment is pending? What can i do to change it to “Paid” status. Regards, Waseem

Thank you for informing us that your affiliate payment is pending. We contacted the affiliate and asked him to accept payment, but it depends on him only when he will accept the payment from you. I studied a bit this issue and as I see from our server’s logs, this merchant does not accept multicurrency (USD in this case) payments automatically. So he has to approve them manually. The funds will be cleared when he accepts this or returned to you after the 30 days (if not claimed). The pending status on your Payments section is only for your information purposes. This status does not affect your merchant’s rank, because our system treats this pending status the same as ‘paid’ (since it’s not your fault that affiliate has not accepted the money yet). So don’t worry regarding this. Once affiliate payment is accepted by affiliate, our system will automatically adjust the payment status to completed in your Payments section.
