What do you consider Financial Services?

Greetings, Recently i put up a website on investing in dividend stocks. I’m trying to promote an ebook and newsletter on investing in stocks paying dividends of 15% or more. Does this constitute financial services? I did fill out the application for being a vendor with you folks so I’m sorry if this is disallowed. Please forgive me for any oversight. Sincerely, Andrew

Answering to your question i can say “No”, since you sell an ebook about divident stocks, etc. This product is not considered as ‘financial services’, so we do not forbid such items to sell on Click2Sell.EU. Thank you for your questions regarding on how to add affiliate ID to XML feed links. Actually, Clik2Sell feed ‘broadcasts’ all affiliate synthax urls for each certain product in this way:

http://xxxxx.product-id.click2sell.eu .

So, if you want to add your affiliate ID to XML feed links, you should replace xxxxx with your own affiliate id (login username) on Click2Sell.EU. Product-id is different for each and every product, so such synthax is provided/generated automatically by our marketplace feed. So, the most important thing is to make your software take such link and replace xxxxx with your affiliate username.

Adding unlimited number of products

How many products can I post with one account? Is it like paydotcom where I can post one for free, and for adding unlimited number of products I have to upgrade my account?

Unlike Paydotcom, at Click2Sell Affiliate Marketing Network you can have as many products in the same account as you want. There is no upgrade, monthly, product, support or any other fee for adding unlimited number of products. You will just pay flat $1-$3 service fee for a sale. So you can add as much products as you like without any additional fee.

Also, i’d like to admit that you can do merchant and affiliate activities in the same account: you can add your own products into our system and sell them with a help of affiliates or promote others products from the marketplace. In this way you can run your diverse business in the same account: sell your own products and promote others products.

Refund after affiliate payment

What happens if there is a refund after affiliate payment (If you pay commissions immediately). Does it come off future commissions for both parties or does the owner of the product pay for it exclusively?

Thanks for writing us! If there is a refund for affiliate commissions you already paid in Click2Sell system , there is a reversal payment invoice generated to repay the loss of a merchant (because in such
case the merchant just lose $X amount of money equal to commision size if he/she is not repaid).

By the way, refunds after affiliate payment are very rare, as usually there are two or more weeks between a sale and a commission payment. In most cases, refunds are made within the first several days (so before affiliate payments).

Visits to ads by me

I had posted 146 Ads in classifidesforfree.com. The site AdManagement
shows that more than 250 persons had viewed my ads. But under my
Affiliate Reports there is no indication of any views by customers. Why is
this difference? Is there any special method to be adopted so that the
view column show results? Please, clarify..

thanks for the question! I reviewed your account and saw that you have referred 3 persons in total (to see that please login into your Click2Sell account and select longer time period in the upper right corner of the table which you see once you log in).

The difference in statistics of visits to ads is due to the fact that “views” in ads system is not equal to referred visitors in our system. Referred visitor means that a person has clicked on your affiliate link and was redirected to your promoted product’s sales-page. While “Views” only means that your ad was seen by X number of people. In
your case, 250 persons saw your ad, but it doesn’t mean that 250 persons clicked on your affiliate link. In fact, only 3 people have clicked on your affiliate link.

“Views” and “visitors” are different terms and that’s why there is a big difference between them. In order to achieve better click-through-rate you should advertise products to people who are interested in and are looking for such products (for example you should promote products related to music at music lovers forums, websites or fan clubs. But keep in mind that you are not allowed to spam your affiliate links).

My website and possibility to promote others products

Hello support team, your product seems to be great and I do need some
help: I saw that I can promote others products and sell them (not having my own) from
the MARKETPALCE. I do have a Domain which I would like to transfer to
another hosting company. Can I use this one or do I have to get
another webpage? How do I download/or upload products to this webpage

thanks for contacting us! You can promote others products in two ways:

1) use your default affiliate link. In this way all your referred people will be redirected to merchant’s provided product’s webpage after going through your affiliate link, so there they will find out all the information about the product.

– OR –

2) you can use direct-to-checkout affiliate link (the one with “?checkout” string in the link). This will lead all your referred people directly to your promoted product’s checkout page (skipping merchant’s provided product’s sales page). Of course, you will need to present the product yourself in this case.

In both of these ways you don’t need to download or upload any promoted product. All you need to do is to place your affiliate link which you can get by:
a) clicking on “Promote” link near product you like in Click2Sell online marketplace
or
b) going to “For Affiliate” section (you must be logged into Click2Sell system) and clicking on “Links” link.

It doesn’t matter if your domain is in one registrar or transferred to another internet domain registrar. The most important and best thing in order to promote others products is to have a website with some good content about things you like (for example domestic animals) and promote products from Click2Sell online marketplace wich are related to domestic animals. This will be best, because visitors who are interested in domestic animals will visit your website and likely can click on your affiliate link (for Example “Buy Ebook 99 Tips How to Train Your Dog!”) and will be directed into merchants homepage, where can buy this ebook (which you are promoting). If sale is successful – you get affiliate commissions!

PayPal payment failed

I added product for merchant shop but have error when i try credit card
method , this is message appear : “Payment failed. Please, check your
information and try again later. Error code: 10501 Error message: This
transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant
configuration” My paypal is business , i don’t know reason

Hello Rafael,

This error message means that your PayPal account is not suitable for your chosen payment method. I reviewed your account and saw that you chose PayPal as your credit card payments gateway. That is the problem. “Business” PayPal account can’t be used for direct credit card processing (customers still can purchase your product using their credit cards, but they need to go to PayPal checkout form). You need to have PayPal Website Payments PRO account in order to be able to directly accept credit cards payments from
Click2Sell checkout page.

I have taken off your PayPal account from credit card acceptance, so your customers wouldn’t end purchase process in dead-end. As I already said, it doesn’t mean that your customers won’t be able to pay with credit cards at all. They will just need to go to PayPal checkout page and there they will be able to use their credit cards.

How to link payment to a one time offer

Hi, can you tell me how to link payment to a one time offer I.e if a
customer wishes to buy a one time offer, or buy a re-sell right how do

Currently the only way to link payment to a one time offer is to put another “buy-now” button in your product’s “thank-you” page, so your customers could quickly buy another product. There is no other way how to quickly offer your customers to buy your one time offer.

A more convenient way for your customers to buy OTO is in our future plans, so it is only a matter of time when it will be implemented. I hope it will be really soon. Let me know if i can help you more!

Such questions as “How to get affiliates” or “How to recruit affiliates” we get very often. Actually, almost every merchant would like to get some “magic” list with the best suggestions to get affiliates to advertise products. I can say that a lot of depends on merchants’ own activities. Click2Sell system provides a lot of clarity for affiliates, so they can easily find out how profitable is one or another product in general. If a merchant just list his/her product in our marketplace and doesn’t do anything more (i.e. making some his/her own sales), then the product has just zeros in its statistics, so naturally it will get very little attention of affiliates.

It is important to provide as much promotional materials as possible, because a bare product without any promotional material scares away many potential affiliates.

Recently my colleague wrote an article Top Merchants Have Many Affiliates about how to make your product more appealing to affiliates. I think it will be helpful to read.

I reviewed your product and saw that you offer only 30% commissions. That is very little for digital product.
It is very important to give away for affiliates as much as you can because it is perhaps the most important thing for potential affiliates. Banner size limits on click2sell

Hi I would like to add banners for some of my products listed. Can you tell me what are banner size limits on click2sell and other info, whether or not flash is supported? Thanks Mark

Thank you for your questions about banner size limits on click2sell and how to add them to system. You can upload your banners by navigating to: For Merchant –> My Products –> Edit Settings –> Add Tools section. We do not limit the file size or the image size for banners, however, keep in mind that the banners should be of appropriate size (as much smaller as possible) in order to fit well on the websites and not to slow down wensite performace. Affiliates would be able to select and use them. Currently we do not allow members to upload flash banners. Anyway, if you have your flash banners, you can easily create a page for Affiliates on your website with all the instructions on how to signup and promote your product and provide all the flash banners there. Then you’ll be able to ad link into your promotional tools website.
