Does this site really work

I was wondering what it takes to make money as an affiliate of your
program. I find it odd that I have over 700 hits on the products I
promote, but I have yet to make a sale. Is it because I’m doing
something wrong.

The most likely reason is that your referred traffic is of poor quality.
Quantity of visitors means quite little these times, there are quite a
lot of affiliates who refer ten thousands of visitors and still don’t
make a single sale. That’s just because they bring in a very generic
crowd of people who are simply uninterested in random products.
Many successful affiliates concentrate on referring quite little
traffic, but very very targeted. In this way they can generate 2-5 sales
from each 100 visitors.
Of course, targeted traffic is usually quite expensive, but it just
deliver you sales, while untargetted traffic is simply useless.

I see that you try to promote a lot of different products. You should
concentrate on just a few of them, try PPC campaigns for them, create
mini-websites for them (and use direct linking to product’s checkout),
research potential places where you could reach people who would be
interested in buying your promoted products.

digital product’s storage

Hi there. I just found out about you. (it looks great!) Question 1: If
you have a downloadable product like a digital recording or an ebook,
etc. … where do you store that or how to they recieve it. Thanks
very much

If you want to sell a digital product, you can upload your product into
our secured server (we provide protected download links which expire
after 72 hours after a sale, so a buyer couldn’t spread download link
all over the internet). You can modify our default thank-you page a bit.

Another option is to use your own “thank-you” page where your customer
will be redirected after a successful purchase.

So you just have to choose which option suits you the best.

Log In issue

Hi, Everytime I log in and click a link, it makes me login again and
again?? Thanks

The most possible reason why you are asked to re-login each time is that
you might have prohibited cookies on Click2Sell.EU.
Please make sure that cookies are allowed and javascripts are not disabled.

Can I create banners myself?

I signed up here and I only see buttons to purchase whatever. I don’t see pre-made banners for me to promote. I’m wondering if I can use images from various merchant websites to create unique banners so that I may just link to their websites?

Thank you for your questions regarding promotional content. Not all merchants provide the promotional tools, content for affiliates. You can find out more if merchant provides the promo tools for affiliates by navigating through the marketplace and then checking out the products yourself. Just click on ‘More Info’ link and you will see all details about a certain product. If merchant provides promotional tools such as banners, articles, etc. you will see them right under ‘create an affiliate link’ link. Yes, you can use images from the merchant’s websites to create unique banners to promote their products.

Browsers security warnings on modified checkout page

Thank you for addressing my question. I have since opened an Authorize.NET account to handle credit card orders.

I have another very important question:

When I visit my checkout page I get all kinds of security “red flags” in my browser.

Google Chrome says “This page contains some insecure elements”

IE actual displays a pop-up before loading the page that days “this page contains both secure and nonsecure elements – do you want to display the nonsecure elements? Yes/No”

Opera and Firefox both seem OK, but I am concerned about these warnings and the effect it will have on my customers. Please advise.

Thank you

I just checked your customized checkout page and got the same ‘insecure elements’ warnings. These are normal browser’s errors when the page on httpS:// (secure connection) is loaded, but there are some elements like images, links on that page that drives visitors to simple http:// pages (unsecured connection). Because of this Internet browsers give errors. I noticed that you customized the checkout page in order to make it look and suit your whole page better. You placed your own image on the top of the checkout page. The error is given because your placed top image link links to an image file on http:// server.
Please, tell me if your server supports https:// secure connections protocol? I mean, can you load your website with https:// ? If so, then just replace your image’s location url from http:// to https:// and such errors won’t be given. If your server does not support https:// connections and you cannot load an image using https:// , then please, send us your image file and we will place it on our secure servers and then modify your image url on your checkout page accordingly.

Problem processing payment – encrypted buttons

Hi, thank you for great website. Everytime I try to test sale I get message: “The seller accepts encrypted website payments only. You cannot pay the seller through un-encrypted buttons. Please contact your seller for more details.”

Thank you for your question regarding the test purchase issue. It looks like your Paypal account has encypted payment buttons enabled. Please, go to your Paypal account, navigate to your Profile and disable that button encryption feature. Then your account will work without any problems. There is no need to encrypt the payment buttons since Click2Sell.EU has a fraud protection system implemented, so your products can only be downloaded by real buyers.

Accepting Credit cards with Google Checkout

I have two payment processors – Paypal and Google Checkout. I cannot use Paypal to accept credit cards because I do not have a “Website payments pro” account with them. Can I use google checkout to accept credit cards? I have added my google checkout account as a payment processor and set up the xml api, but google checkout still does not appear as an option under the “accept credit cards” option. Please advise. Thanks you

I would like to say that Google Checkout does not allow to process credit card transactions on the background – straight on your product’s checkout page, etc. All your customers must be redirected to Google Checkout payment pages in order to complete the purchase. That’s why you can’t choose Google Checkout on the credit cards field (in payment processor mapping page). I checked your account and noticed that you are a US merchant. Since you are a US seller, you can easily open a Paypal Website Payment PRO or Authorize.net merchant accounts and set them up on Click2Sell.EU. This way you will be able to accept direct credit card payments from your customers right on Click2Sell.EU checkout page. This is a very convenient option for your buyers to pay since they do not have to be redirected to Paypal or Google Checkout. While in addition to the credit card payment option you can offer to check out with Paypal and Google Checkout.

If you want to know more how to open Paypal PRO or Authorize.net merchant accounts to process credit card transactions directly from customers, please, let me know. I will send you all the information and explanations.

Questions

Hello, Can I edit the page which is seen after clicking the buy link?
I notice that when directed to Paypal, my account email address is
shown on upper left. Can I change that to the domain name of my site?
Is there any tutorials for this kind of settings? Thanks in advance!

That’s a very good question and I’m glad you asked it.

That page is in PayPal system, so if you want to make changes, you need
to login to your PayPal account.

Now, if you want some kind of name/text to be shown on that corner, you can:

a) simply upgrade your PayPal account to Business type. There are no
fees for doing this and it is a quick procedure.
If your current PayPal account is “Regular”, to make it “Premier” type
you need to go to “Profile” section. In the left column, click the
“Upgrade Account” link and follow the instructions provided.
Then, to upgrade from a Premier to a Business account, go to “Profile”
section again and click on “Business Information” link, and follow the
instructions provided.
After doing all this, your specified “Business Name” will be shown in
the upper left corner.

b) you can upload an image to be shown on the top of the checkout page.
Please go to “Profile” section and click on “Custom Payment Pages” on
the right column.
There you will be able to make changes. Make sure that your image is
uploaded in secured server (if you don’t upload it to a secure server
your browser will display an “Insecure Items On Page” error message and
this could put off your buyers).

I hope I have explained both steps clearly enough.

Won’t let me change my product file

I have been trying to change my product file on the servers and it
will not let me. I have made an important update to my product and I
try to upload the new file under my current product. When I upload the
new file and save it, it says “changes have bee successfully saved”,
but when I look at my product it is the same OLD file in the product.
Please help me with this issue.

We didn’t notice or receive any complaint about file re-upload function
lately, so it’s a strange issue.

Just for your information, filename in our server isn’t changed after
file re-uploading because it is the same as Product Name.
So you should pay attention to file size which is shown in bytes. Is it
different from your updated file?

If it is or you’re not sure, please send me your file and I will check
myself if there is any problem with file re-uploading.
Also I will update your file to the new one.

How to protect ebook file with a password?

We worked on our site some this weekend and wanted you to check it out
to see if we are up to par…

Also, is there a way to dynamically password protect our e-book file?
Could you give me more information on this?

Thanks!

I just checked your website and all the configurations – everything is set
up correctly. The buy now button is placed, a link to affiliate program page
is also placed. So now you are set up and ready to run :)
Yes, you can protect your ebook with a password. I guess your ebook is in
PDF format? All PDF ebook compilers such as Adobe Acrobat, etc. has a
feature to protect the pdf content file with a password. So you should
search for this feature in your ebook compiler. If you don’t find, then
might want to Google for ‘protect pdf files’ and see the search results. I’m
sure you will be able to find some software to protect your ebook files with
a password.
