Customer Refund Question


Hi Click2Sell,
I have a customer that made a mistake and made 2 payments to me. I need to refund the customer one of the payments. The sale came from an affiliate sale so I can’t refund the customer by my own PayPal account. If I do the refund through Click2Sell will it show as a refund on my statistics? I have had no refunds so far and I would like to keep it that way for as long as I can. Hope that makes sense. Many thanks,

Hi Neil,

Thank you for contacting us regarding this issue. Don’t worry. Actually you can refund your payment either through Click2Sell.EU payment area or via Paypal yourself. Click2Sell.EU system gets all the notifications from Paypal regarding refunds, so even if you refund your customer via Paypal, Click2Sell.EU will know that your transaction was refunded and our system will display that on reports. You can also refund that customer via Click2Sell.EU members area. In order for refunds to work, please, navigate to: My Profile –> My Payment Processors page and click on Paypal. There you will have to enter Paypal’s API details. Please, follow the steps to enter those details. Once you are done, please, click on save. This will connect Click2Sell.EU system with your Paypals account on a background level. Then once you are done entering API settings, please, go to Reports –> Transaction Report and search for your certain customer who requests a refund. Click on that transaction and on transaction details page you will see a Refund button. Please, click on it and Click2Sell.EU system will refund the payment automatically. Then all the reports will be adjusted and you can be sure that you won’t have to pay an affiliate for a refunded sale.
