Customer Refund Question

Hi Click2Sell,
I have a customer that made a mistake and made 2 payments to me. I need to refund the customer one of the payments. The sale came from an affiliate sale so I can’t refund the customer by my own PayPal account. If I do the refund through Click2Sell will it show as a refund on my statistics? I have had no refunds so far and I would like to keep it that way for as long as I can. Hope that makes sense. Many thanks,

Hi Neil,

Thank you for contacting us regarding this issue. Don’t worry. Actually you can refund your payment either through Click2Sell.EU payment area or via Paypal yourself. Click2Sell.EU system gets all the notifications from Paypal regarding refunds, so even if you refund your customer via Paypal, Click2Sell.EU will know that your transaction was refunded and our system will display that on reports. You can also refund that customer via Click2Sell.EU members area. In order for refunds to work, please, navigate to: My Profile –> My Payment Processors page and click on Paypal. There you will have to enter Paypal’s API details. Please, follow the steps to enter those details. Once you are done, please, click on save. This will connect Click2Sell.EU system with your Paypals account on a background level. Then once you are done entering API settings, please, go to Reports –> Transaction Report and search for your certain customer who requests a refund. Click on that transaction and on transaction details page you will see a Refund button. Please, click on it and Click2Sell.EU system will refund the payment automatically. Then all the reports will be adjusted and you can be sure that you won’t have to pay an affiliate for a refunded sale.

How To Set Up My Product

Thank you for your email.

My product type is subscription service and I still have couple questions:

1. Since my product is type is subscription service, will my affiliate receive monthly commission from me? If the buyer cancel the service, how do I stop paying the commission to my affiliates?

2. For commission rate, Can I set up 2 different commission rate for my subscription service. Ex: 50% commission rate for the 1st payment and 30% commission rate for the following months.

Thank you for contacting us. Now I would like to answer all your questions one by one:
1) Yes, if you have a subscription product and you charge customer every month a special price, your affiliate will be paid every month for referring that customer. This means that if you sell a subscription product for $20 and you pay your affiliate 50%, your affiliate will get $10 affiliate commission every month. If the buyer cancels the service via Paypal, you won’t have to do anything on your part. Our system will automatically get notifications about the cancelled subscriptiona and remove your subscriber from the list, so you won’t have to pay your affiliate. If your customer requests to be unsubscribed manually you will have to remove it from your For Merchant –> My Subscriptions area and cancel the subscription on Paypal.

2) Currently we allow to set up a one commission rate for the payment. So if you set 50%, your affiliate will always get this sum – for each re-charge.

I need to sell in $

Hi Click2Sell,
Ive set up my account in £. I would like to add a product to the market place but Its only giving the the option to sell in £ and I need to sell in $ Can I change my account to $ ? I hope you can help. Also can you provide step by step videos on how to add a product propperly as its a bit hard.

Thank you for contacting us. Since you signed up on Click2Sell.EU and selected GBP as your currency, you will only be able to sell products in this currency. If you want to sell products in USD, simply open a new Click2Sell.EU account and this time select USD as your currency. We do not allow to mix the currencies between the account just because it would create mess on reports, etc. So all you have to do is just to signup for a new account and select USD as your currency.

Regarding the product’s addition: if you have your own product and want to sell it using Click2Sell, you just have to add your product’s description into Click2Sell system, get codes of “buy-now” buttons and paste them into your sales-page or website.

I suggest you to read article “Step by step guide how to start selling your product via Click2Sell”. This article should help you to understand better how to setup your account right.

Affialiate Payment Questions, etc

Are we responsible for any reason beyond just paying affiliates their commission as a business? Am I responsible for reporting taxes in each state (because having an affiliate that has physical presence in a specific state deems me as conducting business there), Please advise. Thank you! If I get a direct sale (direct customer without having gone through an affiliate), even though it is through the click2sell payment button, will I be charged the commission fee? I know that sounds crazy, but I had an original Paypal button on my site before I tried this. OR should I create two checkout pages and have one just as a regular paypal button and a unique one for Click2Sell customers only?

Tax matters are up to you. We do not require you to do anything there, but you may want to consult with your local tax agency regarding your payments.

Our fees are applied on all transactions, regardless of how they were made.

Please understand that Click2Sell buy buttons gather your website’s traffic statistics every day (you can analyze it in “Reports” section). It can help you to understand how you could improve your business. There are completely no other fees at all. If you won’t sell anything, you won’t pay anything. Please, visit Click2Sell fees page for more details.

If you want, you can have two different checkout pages, however, you must ensure that visitors who were referred by your affiliates couldn’t find regular PayPal button in any way. Otherwise it will result in many “leaked” sales for your potential affiliates and it will reduce your product’s appeal to them.

Tracking ID

Hey,
I have different sources of traffic for promoting products and I would like to identify from which source each sale comes. Do you have a tracking id that i can add to the affiliate link?

Thank you for contacting us. Yes, we do have tracking channels for you to track all different traffic sources.
If you sell your own products you can easily create special links – tracking channels for them. Simply navigate to: For Merchant –> My Products –> Tracking Channels section (click on a product’s panel). If you are promoting a product from Click2Sell.EU Marketplace as an affiliate, just navigate to: For Affiliate –> My Campaigns –> Stats (click on a certain product’s panel) and there you will be able to create special tracking channels for your traffic sources. For each different tracking channel you will be given a separate URL to use. This way you will be able to easily identify and track a traffic source.

Payment Processor

Thank you for the reply. I understand your point about other processors. My concern was just about the  affiliates. If I will put other processor on the sales page like google checkout or other processor to accept credit card will the affiliate still be credited with the sale? Because I thought they will only be credited if the buyer pays thru the payment from your system which is the paypal. Thank you.

To ensure affiliate tracking you need to make sure that all your customers go to Click2Sell checkout form at first where they could select their preferred payment way, if you provide several different payment options.

As I mentioned before, complete list of Click2Sell supported payment gateways is:

So if you have merchant account in any of these systems, please add them in “My Profile” -> “My Payment Processors” page (follow step1 and step2).

Please do not put Click2Sell provided buy buttons AND, let’s say, Google Checkout buttons in the same website. Even though Google Checkout is supported by us, sales via their payment gateway won’t be tracked correctly (and your potential affiliates will lose their commissions), if you add them separately (not via “My Payment Processors” page).

How to collect customers e-mails?

Is there anyway that I can get customers to opt in to my email list after they have purchased and BEFORE they get there product? It would be quite helpful if this is possible. Thanks.

Thank you for contacting us. Of course it is possible. Simply make an e-mail opt-in subscription on your sales page before giving out the product. I mean you would set up a form on your thank-you page to collect e-mails. Customers would be redirected there after their successful purchase. Then once they have subscribed to your e-mail list they could be redirected to download the product.

Moreover, all customers e-mails are collected by Click2Sell.EU. You can e-mail all your customers via a simple Click2Sell.EU Mailer. Translating Checkout page from English to Turkish

First of all many thanks for your quick reply and your interest as well. I have a webiste for a while, but to be honnest I am not familiar with this kind of workflow. I read carefully your step by step guide and I have two simple questions about the process:

1) Once a customer decides to buy my e-book from my landing page, and click to my “buy it now” button, should I prepare another page for the payment or the customer is directly reverted to your website. And if that’s the case, how can I obtain the mail adress of the customer?

2) As I already mentioned my site is in Turkish, I don’t want to use a foreign word like “order now”. Since this button is an image, is it possible for me to use another image by linking to your order process page.

Thank you for getting back to me. Now I would like to answer all your questions one by one and explain the whole process for you.

1) All you have to have is just a single landing page – sales page for your product. Then place Click2Sell.EU payment button on it and you will be able to sell. Once customers click on that payment button they will be redirected to your product’s checkout page which is hosted on Click2Sell.EU system and they will be able to pay for your product. We will do the rest – take the payment, calculate all the commissions, provide your customer with a product and etc. You don’t have to create a special checkout page yourself. Customer’s E-mail address will be automatically extracted by our system and you will be able to find it on your Transaction report – on a certain transaction.

2) Yes, of course you can use your own payment buttons. Simply take the order button code and change the image url on the code (the http:// location that directs to the payment button .png image and replace it with your own image link).

Since your product is is Turkish language you can also translate your checkout page from English to Turkish language. Just navigate to: For Merchant –> My Products –> Edit Settings –> Configure product pages –>Checkout . Follow the instructions and you will be able to change language of your page from English to Turkish.

  1. Click2Sell.EU has a simple fee structure. We charge only $1-$3 per sale depending on price of the product you’re selling. No sales – no payments. You can read more about it at Click2Sell fees page.
  2. There are no other costs. You can add and sell as many products as you want. You will only pay when you make sales.
  3. Yes, the delivery is secure with DL Guard.
  4. You can find out all the costs of DL Guard software on DL Guard website.
  5. If you have a Paypal Website Payments PRO account then you can easily accept direct credit card payments from your customers via Click2Sell.EU checkout page. Simply login to your members area, navigate to: My Profile –> My Payment Processors –> Paypal and enter all your Paypal account’s details such as API login/password, key. Then navigate back to My Payment Processors page, click on Setup and set up your Paypal on the credit card payment mapping form. Then you will be able to accept direct credit card payments from your customers right on your checkout page.
  6. No, you don’t need Mysql databases. Simply place the provided payment button code on your website and you will be done. You can find your payment button code by navigating to: For Merchant –> My Products –> Buy Now Links

General Enquiry!

Hi, I am new here and I registered as an Affiliate for now. I was wondering if you could be kind enough to answer a couple of questions for me: 1) When browsing through the market place, should I promote the products by Conversion (Conv.%) or by Affiliate Sales percentage and popularity. Sorry if I appear stupid, but what does the Conversion actually mean? 2) Will I be paid through PayPal if I make sales, and if so, when will I get paid for the sales I make, and who by?. 1) You should promote those products which are on the first few pages of the Marketplace. Those products sell the best and are good for your promotions. Don’t pay attention to conversion rates because they are not accurate.
2) Yes, you will be paid through Paypal when you make sales. For all sales you make this October, you will be paid from the 1st until the 22nd of November. Merchants will pay you directly to your Paypal account.
